HTTPS and the padlock
Your certificate is included, issued for you, and renewed automatically.
Updated
Every Flagstage site is served over HTTPS — the padlock in your browser's address bar. It's included on every plan.
What we handle
- Issuing a certificate for your domain when you connect it.
- Covering both yourbusiness.com and www.yourbusiness.com.
- Renewing it automatically before it expires.
- Sending visitors who type "http://" to the secure version.
What you need to do
Nothing, beyond adding the verification records we send when you connect your domain. Leave those records in place afterward. They let the certificate renew automatically.
Should I buy a certificate?
No. If your old host sold you one, you can stop paying for it once your domain points to Flagstage.
Seeing a "Not secure" warning?
If you see a warning right after connecting your domain, wait a little while. The certificate may still be finishing. If it's still there after a day, contact us.
