What a request looks like

You write a sentence. We send a preview.

Here's what working with us actually looks like, from a one-line email to a brand-new page. The threads below are examples: the businesses are made up, but every step is how requests really work.

Your Account Inbox

Start a request or reply in a thread. Previews and replies land in the same place.

requests@inbound.flagstage.com

Email from an address on your Account. It shows up in your Inbox like any other request.

A quick update

Holiday hours

One email, one preview, done.

Write it the way you'd tell a coworker. That's a complete request.

By email · Holiday hoursExample
  1. Cedar Creek Plumbing

Closed Dec 24–26 for the holidays. Back on the 27th, emergency line still on.

  2. Flagstage

Got it. We'll add a notice to the top of every page and update the hours on Contact. Preview coming up.

Something new

A page for a new service

We ask what we need, then build it.

Not sure what to include? Send the idea. We'll ask for the rest.

Account Inbox · A page for a new serviceExample
  1. Northline Electric

We started doing EV charger installs. Can we get a page for that?

  2. Flagstage

Happy to. Three quick questions: which towns do you cover for installs, do you work with a particular charger brand, and should the page link to your estimate form?

  3. Northline Electric

Same towns as everything else. Any brand, but we're certified for ChargePoint. Yes, link the estimate form.

  4. Flagstage

Thanks. We'll add it under Services in the menu and mention it on the homepage.

On a schedule

A spring promotion

Up on a date, down on a date.

Give us the dates once. Nobody has to remember to take it down.

Account Inbox · A spring promotionExample
  1. Greenway Lawn Care

10% off first mow for new customers, April 1 through May 31.

  2. Flagstage

We'll put a banner on the homepage and a line on Lawn Care. It goes up April 1 and comes down June 1. Here's how it'll look.

Changed your mind

Going back to the old homepage

Every approved version is saved.

Undoing a change goes through the same preview as making one.

By email · Going back to the old homepageExample
  1. Harbor Street Salon

Honestly I liked the homepage better before the summer update. Can we go back?

  2. Flagstage

Sure. Here's the homepage from before the July 8 update so you can compare. Everything else on the site stays as it is now.

  3. Preview ready

A bigger project

A full redesign

Scoped and agreed before any work starts.

Big requests get a plan and a price first. No surprise invoices.

Account Inbox · A full redesignExample
  1. Ridgeview Roofing

Thinking it might be time for a whole new look. Is that something you do?

  2. Flagstage

It is, but it's bigger than an everyday update, so we treat it as a project. We'll write up what would change and what it costs, and nothing starts until you agree. Meanwhile, your regular updates carry on as normal.

  3. Project proposal sent for review

Good to know

A few habits that save a round trip.

Paste exact wording for prices, hours, phone numbers, and names.

Say which page, if you know. “The Services page” is plenty.

Mention dates for anything that should go up or come down on time.

One request per thread keeps previews easy to review.

Your first request is moving your site in.

Tell us where your website lives today. You'll create an Account next, and we'll start copying the real thing.

Moving in is included. Your current site stays up while we copy it.
